This page provides information from the European Commission with regard to EU policy on fighting illegal logging. Legislative proposals have been published by the Commission to reinforce measures in the 2003 Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade (FLEGT) action plan, by reducing the imports of illegally logged timber into Europe. The new proposal contains 8 separate documents, including questions and answers, and a citizen's summary on illegal logging. |
