8th International Conference on Contaminated Soil, Conference Proceedings, 3355 - 3358, The findings of a project are presented, the aim of which is to give recommendations on how the special qualities of densely populated urban areas and the characteristics of the activities planned for these areas should be taken into consideration in the risk management of suspected contamination. The basis for the development of remediation goals for various land use scenarios and the uncertainties of land use based risk management are discussed in the project report. Practica guidance on the use of various institutional and constructional measures for risk management has also been produced. Co-ordination of spatial and urban planning aspects is also dealt with. |
