<i>Polypodochrysis teisseri</i><br>Benthic species, cells in lorica with 1-8 tubular expansions., Pinguiophyceae (length 10 µm) epiphytic, with a thick wall (lorica) and several tubular outgrowths, one chloroplast and two chrysolaminaran vacuoles. Known as a chrysophyte and added to the pinguiophyceae by Kawachi et al. in 2002.
