This is one in a series of evidence-based clinical guidelines produced under the direction of the Guidelines and Audit Committee of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). This peer reviewed guideline on the management of acute pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) was made available in May 2003. This guideline covers diagnosis, available treatments, sexual partners of women with PID, HIV, oral contraceptive pill, and clinical audit. This guideline was prepared by Dr J Ross MD FRCP, et al and is valid until May 2006. References are provided. In PDF requiring Adobe Acrobat Reader. |
