Published in 1996 by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) these technical guidelines were written by the FAO Fisheries Department. The guidelines were produced to support the implementation of Article 6.5 of the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries. Topics covered include precautionary approaches to fishery management, fishery research, fishery technology, and species introduction.
