The Center for Biomedical Ethics, based at the University of Virginia, seeks to advance the education, research and service concerning the moral values in health care. The Center's faculty undertakes research on problems in clinical ethics, the ethics of research involving human subjects, ethics and genetics, health care organisation ethics, and the history of bioethics. The Center's website contains details on its history, events and course programmes, which includes an MA and first degree in Bioethics. Information is also given on the 'Programme for Ethics and Policy in Healthcare Systems' and the Center's outreach projects. The current newsletter can be accessed together with the Center annual reports (2000-2004) in PDF format requiring Adobe Acrobat. |
