The British Biophysical Society (BBS) is a scientific society which aims to promote teaching and research in biophysics, a molecular science concerned with the application of physical science techniques to investigate what molecules such as DNA and proteins look like, and how they interact to form biological systems. The Society's home page contains information regarding membership (open to those working or studying in the field when proposed by an existing member), forthcoming meetings, membership of the BBS committee and society activities, as well as details of the BBS newsletter and the BBS Young Investigators Award, a medal awarded every two years. The site also provides links to other biophysics societies and to British biophysics courses and British university departments running biophysics courses. |
