Barriers limiting the diffusion of ICT for proactive and pervasive health care

Part 1, 23 - 26, The emerging pervasive ICT infrastructure with the "disappearing computer" enables citizens and patients to take charge of the management of their health and chronic disease. However, there are several barriers than hinder the diffusion of such technology-based services into the every day life of patients and citizens.
