The home page of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), a professional association representing over 7,000 gastroenterologists, surgeons, and other digestive health specialists. The ASGE aims to promote excellence in gastrointestinal endoscopy and information is provided on the history, objectives, activities and membership requirements of the Society. Patient information includes a database of endoscopists (ASGE members) that can be searched by geographical area and a series of fact sheets covering digestive diseases and endoscopic procedures. Sections of the site aimed at health care professionals and ASGE members are password protected and provide a variety of Web resources related to GI endoscopy.
