Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Two cases are presented which display a scintigraphic picture of increased Ga-67 activity around the spleen with a relative photon deficient center. We call this pattern the perisplenic halo of Ga-67, which represents a perisplenic abscess. The anatomy of the perisplenic compartment and the possible pitfalls in diagnosing the perisplenic halo are discussed within the paper.
