Fifty-one children (30 Black and 21 Indian) with the nephrotic syndrome were studied. Renal biopsies were done on all. There were marked histological differences between the two racial groups. In the Black group membraneous and membranoproliferative nephropathies were commonest and no patient with minimal change was encountered. In the Indian group minimal change nephropathy was commonest. |
