Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Cells lacking rodZ are not only defective in cell shape, but also in cell growth at low temperatures. Cold-sensitive growth was suppressed by a mutation of ispA without recovery from the round shape, and the mutation improved cell growth of the wild-type at low temperature.
