Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Operational inefficiencies, sub-optimal patient care, financial losses and missing or ineffective sanctions for non-compliance are all potential outcomes that can stem from passive policy and procedure management. Automation can help solve these problems and provide strategic, operational and financial benefits to health care organizations and their professionals. The implementation and use of an online policy and procedure management system can facilitate and support excellence and sound risk management practices in compliance and accreditation, document management, education and risk management/patient safety.
