Dilution method was employed for the elucidation of the slow relaxation of the magnetization in a Dy2 SMM. The dominant single ion relaxation is entangled with the neighboring DyIII ion relaxation within the molecule, which in turns greatly influences the quantum tunneling of the magnetization seen in this molecule. |
