It is important that a leader assesses his strengths and weaknesses and evaluates where and how he does well. It is also important that a leader is aware of his emotions and is able to use that to better manage himself. Finally, a leader should be aware of the emotions of others, feel and show empathy, and use that understanding to exhibit better leadership within groups of people. This is referred to as emotional intelligence. This article examines these principles. |
