Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Many physicians will be spending three to four decades in the practice of medicine, and often they have nothing to show for these years of hard work when they decide to "take their shingle down. "It is not uncommon for a doctor to retire, give his or her charts away to a younger colleague, and notify patients with an ad in the paper. What a sad way to leave a successful career. And it doesn't have to be that way. This article will provide information for the physician on how to leave his or her practice and reap a financial reward for all of the physician's hard work.
