Organizations can sustain savings through spend visibility, demand management, and appropriate contracting and sourcing techniques. Going green--for example, by using multi-use versus single-use products--can produce long-term savings. A well-defined materials management team, organized around spend categories, can help ensure that projected savings are fully realized. |
