Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Rupture of an intracranial aneurysm is a rare obstetric complication. Its clinical course during pregnancy is similar to that in non-pregnant patients. Prompt diagnosis by analysis of cerebrospinal fluid and by arteriography followed closely by surgical intervention when indicated yields the best results. If labor ensues, vaginal delivery (unless contraindicated) is preferred by most clinicians.
