Patient safety is currently a critical focus within obstetrics. Standardization of intrapartum management, in particular with regard to fetal heart rate monitoring assessment and management, is an important effort to improve obstetrical adverse outcomes. This study explores various strategies to implement standardization of assessment and management. Such measures can impact significantly perinatal outcomes and safety culture. Investigation of the impact of standardizing intrapartum management remains an important area of further study. |
