Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Athough the 2000-plus page Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of2010 has not provided a straightforward roadmap of the future of the U.S healthcare system, one fact is clear: the medical reimbursement system is going to change. This paper discusses those changes and the new relationships that stakeholders in healthcare will undergo. Stakeholder partners, a term describing the new medical business relationships, is defined and discussed, and a suggestion to smooth the transition into the new reimbursement model is explored.
