ABSTRACT: Serendipitous observation of multifocal bilobar hepatic metastases on F-fluoride (NaF) PET arising in the setting of infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast is described in the present report. A 46-year-old female patient with infiltrating ductal carcinoma had an F-fluoride PET which demonstrated uptake in multiple skeletal metastasis and several upper abdominal lesions corresponding to liver metastases on contrast enhanced CT. F-NaF uptake in soft tissue metastases are likely to be more frequently encountered with the increasing use of F-NaF PET/CT in oncology. |
