Healthcare security advancement in recent years in Australia has not kept pace with clinical staff advancement, the author points out. This failure to recognize the need for professionalism in healthcare security and provide the unique skills and training that hospital security officers require is severely hampering the industry's capability of meeting today's security and safety challenges. |
