No pressure: The oxidation of aromatic CH bonds at room temperature was realized through a copper-catalyzed "oxygenase-type" oxidation of arenes and heteroarenes in the presence of air. The reaction involves an oxygen-atom transfer from O(2) in the air onto the substrates.
