Robert Liston was a general surgeon who dealt with all conditions that were presented to him, and in his practice saw a number of cases that involved the vascular system. These were mainly wounds of vessels, aneurysms and vascular tumours. His writings on the subject have been reviewed with some examples of the cases he had to treat. |
