To the Editor: The investigators in the Rivaroxaban Once Daily Oral Direct Factor Xa Inhibition Compared with Vitamin K Antagonism for Prevention of Stroke and Embolism Trial in Atrial Fibrillation study (ROCKET AF; ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT00403767) (Sept. 8 issue)(1) reported that rivaroxaban was noninferior to warfarin in preventing stroke or systemic embolism. Furthermore, in the as-treated safety population, this primary end point was significantly less frequent in the group treated with rivaroxaban (P=0.01 for superiority).
