Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Collection of proper postmortem specimens is an essential step in the process of toxicology case work. Improper collection of these specimens can greatly alter or negate chemical and toxicological analysis. Presented herein is a description of a postmortem specimen collection 'kit' that has proven suitable for use not only by the forensic pathologist, but also by the assistant coroner/small town funeral director obtaining specimens.
