Abstract Qualitative platelet function disorders, especially platelet storage pool deficiency, are rare complications in patients with myeloid malignancies. We describe a patient who presented with a significant bleeding diathesis and mild cytopenias, found to be secondary to an acquired platelet storage pool disorder that had developed in the setting of an underlying myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasm (MDS/MPN) overlap syndrome.
