Abstract/OtherAbstract:
The description of teratogenic potential in rodents, rabbits, and hamsters from environmental exposure to Ribavirin has raised concerns among caregivers. Elimination of Ribavirin use to avoid caregiver exposure is neither scientifically nor ethically justified because of its proven efficacy in the treatment of the potentially life-threatening disease of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in infants and young children.
