Pharmacists working in long-term care facilities are often called upon to educate nurses and other care staff on proper medicationadministration technique. New medications, as well as new drug-delivery methods for older medications, require all health care practitioners to learn about the specific manufacturers' recommendations for each product. In addition, keeping abreast of current infection-control standards is imperative for all staff administering medications. |
