Abstract/OtherAbstract:
A typical case of liver abscess is reported. The mortality rate of this surgical entity, previously very high, has been reduced markedly in recent years. The most important factors are the new diagnostic developments such as liver scans and coeliacography, making an early and exact diagnosis possible and thus forming the basis for an early and adequate surgical drainage.
