Abstract Left ventricular thrombus formation in the presence of normal ventricular function is a rare phenomenon, with only seven cases described in the literature. Their morbidity arises from the embolic sequelae that ensues. The management of these patients is complex, and requires the decision-making process of both the medical and surgical teams.
