This article provides background information on some of the basic elements and assumptions of lCD-10 and 5010 implementation. It will focus on basic implementation strategies that may be implemented over several months, thereby giving you an opportunity to fine-tune your implementation time line while meeting the daily demands of running your practice. We will discuss the importance of a team effort and of obtaining the support of physicians, billers, staff payers, vendors, etc.
