Abstract. The current article summarises more than 12 years' experience in the treatment of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in the Malopolska region (southern part of Poland). Data on the development phase of the STEMI treatment network, as well as the current status of interventional treatment of acute coronary syndromes in that region of Poland are provided.
