Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Focal myocardial necrosis with calcification was seen in two 10-week-old SPF chickens. Histologically, hyaline necrosis of myocardial fibres, frequently accompanied by calcification, was present in the subendocardial area of the left ventricle. Fibrosis was observed around the necrotic area. There were few inflammatory cells. The aetiology is not known.
