This article constitutes the Joint Statement from the Plastic Surgery Societies of Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Great Britain, Korea, New Zealand, South Africa, Switzerland and the United States. It reviews the background, history, and participants of the Global Summit held in October 1, 2010 in Toronto, Canada. Additionally, it documents the highlights of the meeting, focuses on areas of agreement among the representative societies, and looks forward to future actions of the participating societies.
