A 19-year-old woman presented with symptoms of pulmonary infarction and an abnormal perfusion scan compatible with pulmonary embolism. Pulmonary angiogram performed utilizing two bolus injections in the frontal plane and recorded on multiple cut films was reported as normal. This false negative angiogram points out the need for modifications in conventional pulmonary angiographic technique.
