False aneurysm of the superficial temporal artery: a surgical complication.

This case report illustrates the dramatic presentation of a previously unreported complication of surgery in the temporal region: development and rupture of a false aneurysm of the superficial temporal artery. This complication was related to the operation, the age of the patient, and split skin graft coverage of the superficial temporal artery.
