The subject of firing was aired during a debate at this year's British Equine Veterinary Association congress. Keen to include debates on other controversial issues in future, the association tested the water by inviting Bruce Bladon and Roger Smith to take opposing positions on the topic. BEVA also welcomed its patron, HRH The Princess Royal, who joined more than 1700 people at the congress, which was held in Birmingham from September 12 to 15. Gill Harris reports. |
