The discovery of circulating angiogenic cells (CACs) with cardiovascular regenerative potential has transformed our understanding of the health and maintenance of cardiovascular tissues. We will describe the influence of acute exercise and exercise training on CAC characteristics and evidence for mechanisms that may be important in the optimization of CAC potential. |
