The Effect of an Active Guest on the Spin Crossover Phenomenon.

Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Throw the switch: A new strategy for regulating spin crossover (SCO) properties by the control of an active guest molecule is proposed. As a proof of concept, maleic anhydride was incorporated into a microporous {Fe(pyrazine)[Pt(CN)(4) ]} framework material and chemically switched to maleic acid, thus modifying the SCO properties.
