Abstract/OtherAbstract:
Abstract A 29 weeks gestational-age newborn product of a multiple gestation was found to have a round mass in the umbilical cord; the resected lesion was an ectopic liver tissue (3 x 2 cm). She also had an imperforated hymen; otherwise, no other abnormalities were seen. The infant survived. Some possible mechanisms that may be associated with an ectopic liver tissue are presented.
