A case of recent drowning in fresh water is presented. Attention is drawn to those features which are of most diagnostic value. Emphasis is placed on certain pitfalls for the unwary which, if not taken cognizance of, may lead to a miscarriage of justice. A number of laboratory investigations which may be of assistance when the autopsy findings are equivocal are outlined. |
