The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center opened the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso this summer, culminating 30 years of dreaming and 10 years of hard work by the medical community and civic leaders in El Paso and Texas Tech System officials. It's the first medical school on the Texas-Mexico border and the first new medical school in Texas since 1977. |
