Abstract/OtherAbstract:
We report the case of a 3-year-old girl with intermittent rhinorrhea discovered after resolution of pneumococcal meningitis. Cerebral MRI and thin section CT were not conducive in this particular case. The 111In-DTPA planar cisternography confirmed but could not localize the cerebrospinal fluid leak. An anterior plasty was unsuccessful. A second 111In-DTPA SPECT/CT cisternography was performed. Planar images were conclusive of cerebrospinal fluid leakage in the left medial skull base. Fused SPECT/CT images located the leakage in the left infratemporal fossae. A median skull base plasty was successfully performed.
