Nursing education often focuses attention on the interminable amount of information required of students to learn. This learning must be accomplished in a short time frame and at a rapid pace. With attention focused here, students and faculty may not recognize the importance of taking time to celebrate the now. In this column, the author recognizes Rosemarie Rizzo Parse as a prominent nurse theorist and offers a variety of ways to celebrate now moments through re-visiting Parse's teaching-learning model. The activities suggested require minimal time while encouraging reflection on self and respect for all. |
