Here, we design and develop high-power electric double-layer capacitors (EDLC) using carbon based dimensional (3D) hybrid nanostructured electrodes. 3D hybrid nanostructured electrodes consist of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (CNT) on highly porous carbon nanocups (CNC) were synthesized by combination of anodization and chemical vapor deposition techniques. 3D electrode based supercapacitor showed enhanced areal capacitance by accommodating more charges in a given foot print area than that of conventional CNC based device. |
