Abstract/OtherAbstract:
The individual who sustains a spinal cord injury resulting in traumatic quadriplegia experiences a drastic alteration in his lifestyle from both physiological and psychological perspectives. The effects of spinal cord injury on a patient's sexuality will be explored according to Carrera's rule for optimum sexual functioning: all systems go, a positive self-image, and nurturing environment.
