Acetylation of human serum albumin by acetylsalicylic acid.

Human serum albumin is acetylated when exposed to acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) under physiologic conditions in vitro. Indications are that a similar phenomenon occurs in vivo after ingestion of aspirin.
