WHAT and HOW Does This Child See? Assessment of Visual Functioning
for Development and Learning, by Lea Hyvarinen and Namita Jacob, seeks
to help teachers, early interventionists, vision rehabilitation
therapists, and others who work in early intervention and special
education, to assess the visual functioning of children with
disabilities. Filled with numerous full-color illustrations, the book
comprises lectures and writings of the authors, as well as their
teaching experiences in several developing and developed countries. An
accompanying CD-ROM includes a PDF of the print book, PowerPoint
presentations for each of the book's chapters, and videos that
accompany nine of the book' s chapters. The 238-page hardcover book
and CD-ROM are available for a cost of $90. The CD-ROM alone is priced
at $50. For more information, contact: Vision Associates, 295 NW Commons
