[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]I am a feminist because I get to I get to not shave My legs My underarms My brows ... unless, of course I want to. I am a feminist because I have to I have to look at me And live with me And learn to love me Everyday, everywhere Everytime. I am a feminist because I refuse to I refuse to be told That I can't Or I shouldn't And I must Or I mustn't That I am just another Woman. I am a feminist because I need to I need to speak And be heard And to be, just be Me in a place and a space And that's OK I am a feminist because I know that I know that I am not Just another woman Another statistic Another notch on your belt Another fruit on the tree I am a feminist because I don't know how not to be One. |
